Went shopping with the parents in town. (Sales in Singapore wasn't that all a sale after conversion, we decided to come back to KL instead). Mum pestered me into getting something so dear that I never thought I'd get.
But the shoes alone was dear enough that I pledged not to buy any shoes till 3 years later. Cross my heart! It was like, Oh.My.God! But Dad said, "Next time you buy for me." LMAO!
So... Let the shopping began! (For the whole family of course)
And Santa came exactly one day before Christmas when I actually won consolation in some contest I've forgotten. 100RM Parkson cash vouchers!
Otherwise, I've also redeemed another Starbucks planner. 88RM mind you! That's on the shelf. But it's like, 150RM with all the drinks. LOL.
Another one was this heart-rate monitor which comes with a running event I registered. I'm loving it! Weee!~
That being said, yea, I'm a spoilt brat.

On the Thai Christmas
I'd actually thought I'd be taking shots of the Christmas decorations in Bangkok this time round, especially when I was told that Siam Paragon and such malls would be beautiful. And I was all Christmas-y when I was planning about this post before my Bangkok excursion, looking for Mariah's Christmas song embed and all...
Passed by this one when I was walking on the street. It was 4pm in the afternoon so of course it wasn't neon-ed up. Saw some trees here and there, but nothing huge enough to wow me.
I came back with actually not a single lighted Christmas tree in Thailand. What a bummer.
And although I spent quite some time in Siam Paragon, I was just too lazy to take any photos of the decorations in the front door and concourse area. Perhaps because it was flooded with people, not only locals, but also a lot of ill-mannered Malaysians and Singaporeans, which, ugh let's not get to their attitude.
So anyways, here are some of Paragon's. There was a lawn or something with booth set up and lots of snowmen still yet to be completed between Paragon and Siam Discovery. Didn't get that though.

The closest that I stayed to the decorations being lighted up was at 6pm. The lights were not up yet. And the crowd in the BTS station in front of the mall was humongous! I'd have stayed longer, I thought I should have. But I actually didn't regret leaving the super crowded place.
And that was because I wanted to get back to the hotel and place all my day's shopping bags and shower before heading out to the nightlife in Khao San on one night and well... *ahem* the red light district *blush* ... on another. But those are for another day. *blush*

On the Trip Planning
I'm the kind of person who likes to have things in order. Not really into detail, but at least a rough guide. Otherwise, I suppose I get all too restless and panicky.
So after my exam, I actually headed to Borders looking for travel guide.
And spent some full whole days as well as a few nights in Starbucks planning how to move about in the city of Angels. And far North into the wilderness. With stickies and maps and planners and calendars and post-its and markers... That's how serious I am. LOL. Okay, so maybe this planning was a bit too detail as it turned out, because I actually checked the opening hours and transportation timetables and even fees. Very troublesome.
Planning for trips is not a fun thing really... But the anticipation of it was fun.
What's more with all the Christmas-y mood in Starbucks and all...
One week to Christmas! WOOOHOOO!!!

On Starbucks Malaysia 2012 Planner...
STARBUCKS PLAZA MONT KIARA, 24 Nov 2011:
After all the hoggings in Starbucks and promoting that over-priced coffee on this blog numerous time... Finally... AHAHAHAHA! Happy Christmas!

On a side note, the planner can be claimed with every 15 purchases of Starbucks handcrafted beverages using the Starbucks card; or it cost RM88 on the shelf.

On the Starbucks Card Caddy
Remember how I used to be all crazy about collecting for the 2012 planner? And one of method of collecting it was to purchase beverages via the Starbucks Card, something like Touch-&-Go in Starbucks.
Well apparently, there was this period of time whereby you'd get a Starbucks card-caddy with every top-up of 100 bucks. The card-caddy can be used to put cards and all; useful when you're traveling or when you just wanna have a pocket that hangs around your neck.
But I have not even used any of mine. LOL!
And I've got 3! With 2 more given away. But no no, not a gift! La-la-la-la...

On Claiming Free Starbucks Drink
One thing I learnt from this Starbucks craze just to collect the 2012 planner rather than getting it off the shelf for RM88 (which is still far more expensive than the selling price of non-Starbucks planner), is that sometimes I am really crazy. About certain things that is. Look at the amount of free drinks that I have from Starbucks! Even the barrista got a shock, "Fuyooo! You have so many rewards!"
Well, I didn't replied. System glitch for the earlier 1 month didn't allow me to claim my planner. All my transactions didn't show-up. So, other than the one that comes with registration of a Starbucks card, I've already purchased over 30 over-rated drinks, which entitled me 3 free drinks that comes with every 10 purchases.
And therefore, I have also finally gotten enough to redeem a planner! WOOOHOO!!!! YAY YAY!
But then again, due to the system glitch, I was unable to get my planner today. Doesn't matter. I'm in good mood. Christmas around the corner. Happy happy merry merry. So I said, nehmind, I can come claim another day. XD
And so, a free grande-sized iced signature hot chocolate for free. After spending like what, RM120? LOL!

On the [Incomplete] Christmas Decoration in The Curve
So I have been hanging out in The Curve a lot. Like, almost everyday. Because it's within walking distance from Sis's place and, well... there's Ikea and Starbucks. 3 Starbucks to choose from. LOL! But that aside, I've actually been witnessing the transformation of the mall, or the street mall more like it, into something Christmas-y!
So these are like, a series of photos taken over different days. The huge tree in front of e@Curve particularly, was after a week.
Before the huge tree was lighted, mistletoe were already hung over the Street, which really gave the whole place the festive atmosphere.
Finally one find day as I returned after settling some official stuff with the university, I came noticed that the ornaments were finally up! Nearly.
And the castles inside The Curve too! Nearly too.
I tried to come back again a few days later to see the whole Street and the Christmas tree being lighted up. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances and business, I was not able to show you the end product of the mall in their Christmas decoration!
The last I saw of the place, some more works are still going on.
[Post written on 1/12/2011. To see the whole place lighted up, why not head down there and enjoy it? Share with me your pictures too! XD ]

On the Balinese Christmas Flag
I think. If that's what it's called.
Bought this from one of the stalls in concourse level at 1 Mont Kiara blogged yesterday. Was looking for something to decorate Sis's place to make it more... Christmas-y... I'm not a Christian admittedly, but I do celebrate Christmas, some what. As how a friend put it, I'm pumping money into the Malaysian economy. Good samaritan no? LOL.
Was actually looking for something like that of the Chinese New Year earlier this year (though someone commented it looked like marriage decoration LOL). Something I'd stick on the door. But a mistletoe ring would be too much for keep sake later on.
And just as I was about to get one of those metal decoration for Christmas tree, I saw the flag.
Bought one at RM10, and brought it home for the potted plant just in front of the main door.
Sis came back wondering what has got into me! LMAO!
It's Christmas! It's Christmas!

On the X'mas Deco 1 Mont Kiara
Despite all the bad experiences with 1 Mont Kiara about a month back regarding the parking issues (which pretty much fell on deaf ear with the management of the mall), I was there again earlier this week.
Came out to see what ugly Christmas tree it was. No pun intended. It was day time and well, I'd prefer to see Christmas tree the traditional way with leaves and greens and ornaments and all. But of course, when I was back later in the evening, it was actually lighted up.
And I changed my mind.
Though the stalls were yet to be fully set up.
I've always thought the stalls set up in this mall was to cater for the expats living around in the Mont Kiara neighborhood. Doof bags were abundants. Haven't seen a proper shop that sells this. And the last deco during Halloween, there were stuffs that I hardly see in Mid Valley before; not referring to the Halloween costumes of course... Or maybe that just shows how little I've been to the malls, having been hanging out in The Curve all the time. LOL.
But anyways, when it the decorations were finally completed, I thought it was very pretty. Definitely not traditional. But something fine. And wacky. And pretty cute in its own way. Me likey!
Happy Christmas shopping everyone.
I know I did. Want to know what I bought? Heeeeheeee XD
