On the Admission to HTC Hospital (2)

Following the major accident in Penang Bridge during the Penang Bridge International Marathon, my dear phone was admitted to the hospital in Berjaya Plaza 3 days later after stabilization prior to the transfer. During admission, the battery was dead; the body was also dead. The receiving staff said he was badly affected by the water, probably drowned. But they'll try to resuscitate him. If it's too badly damaged, they might need to change the whole brain altogether. I was literally praying that it wasn't that bad.

But 2 days later, I received a call. Unfortunately, my prayers weren't answered. My phone was badly damaged they had to change the whole board. And goodness gracious me, it's costing half of the cost of that phone!!!!!!

Call me stupid or what nots, I said yes.

Later on, they called again, updating me that they have changed the board, but the LCD screen didn't work properly. So it will require an additional charge, to which, I sadly agreed. Again. (T.T)

Feeling my sadness, the technician offered some discount, waiving off the labor fee, and offered to change the casing for me. Apparently, after the last fall in the running event in Klang, I've caused more damage to the phone.

So 1 week later, I finally received the good news that he could be discharged. Upon arriving at the service centre, he came out fresh and new, with a brand new screen and scratch-less body. A new phone apparently.

But that would just mean this phone cost me 150% of the price I paid earlier. I mean, many friends of mine told me to just get a new phone, but at 800bucks, I couldn't find anything as nice without topping up. And like what people say, when you've tried the better, you wouldn't wanna settle for the lesser. So I suppose I was that cheapo and decided to get it repaired. Now that it's back looking well again, I solemnly swear I will protect it well.

I hope...
