On the Eaten Surprise

This is a long overdue post.

Received a text message sometime near my birthday this year from Catahy Cineplex that I could claim my birthday surprise as I'm a member of their Rich Loyalty card. So out of curiosity I headed to the cinema asking what was the surprise. I was told then that it was a free ticket. But as I felt it wasn't a suitable day, I thought I would go back another day at a more appropriate time when it was more relaxing.

So I was planning for a weekend outing with another friend and was wondering what movie should we be watching. Knowing that the weekend would probably be packed, I headed to the cinema again a few days later wanting to get the ticket in advance. Lo and behold, I was told there was no more movie ticket, but just a free small popcorn set.

Disappointed as I was, my friend nearly went to the counter to argue until we saw the screen information about the Loyalty card. So we almost canceled the thoughts of watching a movie until we realized it was so stupid to be fussed about it all.

So finally, we headed back to the cinema on the last day of April, and get our tickets. Popcorn it was gonna be then. It was still a free set after all.

We were there for an afternoon show, just after we had our lunch. And happily, I claimed my popcorn set. Took my popcorn, and headed into the cinema. My friend asked, where was the drink? I looked at him, I thought it was just a small popcorn, not some set meals.

And he gave it a rest. After all, we were not hungry anyways.

But the more I thought about it, the more I felt as though something was not right. It was supposed to be a small popcorn set... and if it's a set, there should at least be one drink no?

Grrr. I don't know. But really, everything seems... not perfect this year.

Didn't go out to the F&B counter to claim my drink though. All hooked to the muscular body on the screen.

Thought the movie was a bit, well... quite nice I'll say. Not the predictable type for sure, but not exactly surprising twist that took you by surprise. I rate it a 8 out of 10. Would've love if they have a happy ending though. Boohoo...
