Received a mail the other day. It was actually a Chinese New Year Card. In December! LOL. So when I opened it, to my surprise, Thien Hou Gong actually invited me to their Chinese New Year Gathering. I mean, I know it's the Hainanese Association, but I always associate the place with the temple.
But after a while, it downed to me that, I wouldn't even be here on Chinese New Year! 24th of Jan, I would probably back in the hometown.
Apart from the invitation to the gathering, there was also some forms and a voucher. Forms are for some light offerings and such, that if we want to, we could make a donation by purchasing a light offerings. Coupons are actually for the Vegetarian buffet of the Thanksgiving & Lighting Ceremony on the 1st of January 2012.
And it says, due to the large number of devotees, only devotees with "Invitation voucher" will be served...
Whoa! Flattery!
