On the Roaches

We were dining in a restaurant in a mall which was elected as one of the best restaurants in the country last year. The service was fine, the ambience was great, the food was okay.

But as we were eating, Sis suddenly squealed. "Roaches!"

Mum thought it was just an insect.

At the same time, the waitress came and cleared our empty plate. She too, was curious what was the fuss on the table.

I wanted to see clearly what it was, so I moved the plate and there it was, a small cockroach.

Waitress went panic, she quickly took a kitchen towel, and cleared the insect. "Sorry, really sorry. Really really sorry..."

It wasn't actually the only one on our table that night. After the waitress cleared the first one, we saw 2 more crawling along the wall. In one of the country's best restaurants that was.

I was trying to take a photo, but the photo turned out blurry. And we thought with that as a threat to the good name of the restaurant, perhaps the restaurant would give us a free meal even.

But in the end, we agreed that we wouldn't make a big fuss out of it. The restaurant would be closed for sure if the news was spread over the papers. We didn't want to make them workers lose their jobs.

owh yo guys are so sweet! I would normally just ask for something like a refund or just a swapped meal or something like that, but my family members probably just go berserk and tear down the restaurant. XD
