On the 10 Random Things You Don't Know about Medie

Very rarely I would actually spend time thinking about what to blog about, especially since I've developed the habit of scheduling all my blog posts since a while back. But in the interest of a good friend, thought I'd spare him misery of waiting. LOL. So here goes. 10 random things that you don't know about Medie007.

1. Was a post-date baby! Born at 41 weeks and 6 days... Baby Medie was all coated in meconium and looked so old and edematous (according to Mummy)... Does that explain the laziness now?

2. Was never punished when he was young. Elder sis got all the beatings for all the wrong doings. And whenever Sis got the cane, Medie started crying. When sis got scolded for poor academic performance, Medie would be sitting at the study pretending to read. This was according to Mummy. Mummy said Medie was a very easy child to raise up! In the younger days probably.

3. Was a singer before! Joined some singing competition when he was younger and was the champion for the first year, and runner up during the second year. Then again, it was in a small town. Jaguh kampung much? LOL But no... He refused to go to Karaoke with anyone now.

4. He peed during a prize giving ceremony, outside of the toilet. Was waiting to go up the stage for the prize, but the bladder was too full, and he would actually missed the prize giving if he ran down to the toilet... So he thought he'd wait until he came down from the stage... But apparently, the sphincter gave way... And he wet his pants there and then, just at the end of the stairs of the stage. Standing in the pond of pee, he pretended as though nothing happened, until his class teacher came and saw... well... the wet pants... He was 7 years old...

5. He thought about committing suicide when he was in secondary school form 3. Had a huge row with his Mummy because Mummy was doing all the houseworks while he was lying on the couch reading. So got into some quarrel when Mum grumbled and stomped into the bathroom, locked the door... with a nail clipper in hand. Was fuming with anger, thinking what Mummy would feel like when he didn't come out for a day, only to force open the door to a dead Medie. He thought he'd finally see the Mummy collapsed in regret. Well, in the end Medie came out after 5 hours sitting on the toilet floor.

6. He planned a rebellious runaway after form 5 SPM examinations. Earlier that year Mummy and Daddy were not happy with his poor academic results due to addiction to the internet. Medie found a new love in instant messaging and got to know some guys from the UK. Due to different time zone, he woke up in the middle of the night to go online. Went on for a while, the immature Medie even thought of leaving for the UK after form 5 and self-fund himself. Mummy was not quite pleased. But one day, Mummy found out about Medie's midnight habit and Daddy disconnected the internet immediately. Spent the rest of the year studying in the state library.

7. Changed the blog address to this current address 3 years back, because Daddy's staff came across the blog, and told him about it... Back then Medie was more... say... outspoken. Lots of controversial stuff were blogged about... Daddy was not entirely pleased... Which leads to what the blog is now. Removed all posted images of Medie himself, as well as all those controversial posts that could lead to well... maybe imprisonment...

8. Had had a girl confessed her love to him once, and he freaked out... Exchanged some text messages with the girl initially, and later the girl finally admitted that she liked him... And he just kept quiet... Girl asked for an explanation of the silence... And he said he wasn't ready for a relationship. Years later... He thought he was stupid for not giving it a go. Boo-hoo.

9. Tried some stuff that he wasn't really proud of. If you watch Private Practice (the spinoff of Gray's Anatomy), there is a neurosurgeon named Dr. Amelia Sheperd {who is also McDreamy Dr. Sheperd's younger sister}. In one of the episodes in Season 4, where she discovered a tumor in the temporal lobe of a patient and wanted to remove it for her, of which the patient was very reluctant to, she convinced her with a personal experience. Let's just say Medie had the same experience that she had.

10. Started blogging because of boredom. And failed the exams before because of spending too much time blogging. 'Nuff said.
