On Being Locked Out

The last few days we were in Banting for the district posting, we decided to head over to the historical sites where a palace of the previous Sultan of the state was. (Oh wait, I haven't blogged about our visit to the mountain. LOL)

Anyway, upon our reaching, when we caught a glimpse of the palace, we were amazed. It was beau-tee-full! I mean, I'd thought it was just some old palace or something. But who'd have known, it was a gem.

Too bad though, we were disappointed by the fact that, maybe it was already 6 in the evening and the gates were already closed. But my colleagues who came by before said it wasn't opened the last time they were there too.

Ministry of tourism much?

... stay tuned for photos of the palace.

It looks dilapidated, except that the main building got a fresh coat of paint.

yerr... no more maintenance then.. I think the recent Banting case makes this town popular and not the historic sites..
