Friend of mine told me he misses the frog porridge in S'pore and would bring me around for the ones he thought was the nicest in the entire island. But too bad though, he forgot where it was at. So what we did was to head to the nearest place which serves frog.
And we were just in time, running for shelter into one of the restaurant in Geylang when it started to downpour. Having been walking all day, sweating as much as the buckets of rain water splashing onto the cemented floor, whoever said the dishes were not nice should be shot dead. LOL.
But really, it was quite nice. It was cooked in this claypot, with ginger and thick soy sauce. Buy 3 16Sgd, 4 17Sgd. We bought the promotion. And we thought we'd be cheated with all those figures, I mean, who'd know how many frogs they serve when it's all cut up right? Then again, after being all so kiasu counting the soft vertebraes of the frogs, yeah we had 4 in total.
Never thought I'd eat frogs. It's not exactly the first thing that came into my mind, although I admit I'm quite a carnivore. But my preference had always been chickens, pork or beef. That said, I'm not really that adventurous after all huh? LOL.
Don't think I'd want to have any frogs anymore. No matter how nicely they're done, I still think it's not something we should be eating. It's just... so not correct.
