On the Wesak Day in Singapore

So. Wesak day. Somehow, it falls on a Friday. And having a Friday off, it seemed as though it was forever that we ever had a proper long weekend like this; which was why, out of spontaneity, I got myself a return ticket to the City of Merlion, having the slightest idea what am I supposed to do here.

I mean, heck, I don't even have any friends here! I mean, in Singapore. Like, fine, I have an ex-classmate who is working as a nurse, and a few other ex-schoolmates; but we barely even talked! Let alone meet up for coffee...

But having said that, I don't think I want to trouble anyone this time I'm here. Which was why I decided to look up for a backpacker's hostel and rent a bed for the night. T'was fine so to speak, though I'm not really that all sociable and friendly to the foreigners sleeping next to me...

Ah well... First time out on a hiking trip on my own this year; without any proper planning too! Bleah. Sorta regretted my impuslivity now that I'm here alone not knowing what to do. Been here few years back, didn't see much change in the places that I could go to without paying anything. LOL. I am after all, on a tight budget. Spent the whole day walking around taking photos. Have yet to really look into them, will probably take a few days to sort them out after I go back to KL.

Then again, I'll see what I can do tomorrow. Just another half of a day before I board the bus to go back to yet more classes and psycho patients. -.-

That said, guess I haven't really been observing the 8 percepts either; especially when you're thinking with your stomach. LOL.

Happy Wesak Day people.

Where have you been to hiking? Just out of curiosity.

I have been here for three years, and yet pathetically seldom been to anywhere else excepts government hospitals, my school and my buddhist society only.

And honestly, i am still strange with the streets, whenever i go to a new place, scare of being lost also. Whenever people ask for direction even in my neighborhood, my answer to the askers is always:" sorry i am a foreigner like u as well."the thing is i have staying for quite some times already~~
