On Oktoberfest Malaysian Style

I know quite a lot of western restaurant have something on for Oktoberfest, but mostly just do some promotion on beers. It's my third year coming to One Utama for the Oktoberfest that they organise by the big longkang, or whatever that place is called, outside of the Rainforest section...

But this year round, it was drizzling when we headed to the mall. Big disappointment really. Plus, I think the organising committee decided to only allow OneCard members to enjoy the RM1 beer. So it wasn't quite that attractive as compared to previous years.

Quoting the friend who answered instantly when I asked if he was interested to go, "Yes! German sausages and beer, who could resist that?", and so we headed there anyways. After what seemed to be something not worth my money at another overated place, we soon headed over to the fest.

It was still drizzling, but we were insistent in getting our beers. We got ourselves 2 plates of sausages, each of some names but I don't quite recall. They were nice as a whole, but the buns that came with the sausages were a bit too rocky hard. I walloped it up anyways.

We only had one bucket of beers, but of different kinds, just to try them out. Hoegaarden,Waclteiner, Stella Artois, Lowenbrau and Leffe. But having that we were just there to experience what Oktoberfest seemed to be like, we stopped at a couple of bottle each.

Rather than like this.

LOL.

There were some folklore performances alright. But most of them songs were pretty much some rock songs which we barely paid attention to.

As per previous years, there were not much stalls available as well. The German sausage stall offered a discount on Heinekens since we bought the sausages, he was fast to change his mind after my friend stared at him. "Oh yah, you wouldn't want Heineken..."

Of course we didn't want Heineken. We want German beers! LOL.

Well, at the end of the day, it's nothing really much to shout out really. Considering it was a drizzling season, and the arrangements of the tables underneath the tents...

But it was a good shoutout alright. I went to Oktoberfest this year. Again! Malaysian style one lah.
