On the Salt and Pepper

There they were, the small bottle of salt and pepper, sitting comfortable on top of the table, on this table located in quite a secluded spot, in Tony Roma e@Curve.

I caved into ordering the Fillet Mignon, which cost half a hundred bucks. After all, how many times one turns 22 right? I totally enjoyed myself with that steak. Indeed it was something that "melt-in-your-mouth" as advertised in those little pamphlet on top of the table.

It wasn't exactly the first time I dine in Tony Roma if I'm not mistaken. I've been eating quite lavishly back then, what's with Starbucks and the bar in TGIF... So it really wasn't the first time I ate steak there. But that night, somehow the steak tasted different. A lot more different. Maybe it was the specialty. Maybe it was just pretty much because it was my birthday. Maybe because it was the company.

We're different in our own different ways. You're strong. I'm undecisive. You're persistent. I'm pretty sporadic. You're impatient in certain things. I'm patient in certain different things. You're wise in certain subjects. While I take interest in total different stuff. But whatever it is, it must've been a struck on the pot of gold that we seemed to have complemented each others' life in some ways that we feel comfortable with it.

Just like the salt and pepper.

Some people like it a bit more salty, while some prefer it to be more spicy.

I can't say how grateful I am. Despite the miscommunications and unhappy encounters, it takes a lot of patience to make a friendship work. But all we need to do, is to iron out the misunderstandings. In life, it's going to be a long milestone if one is able to forgive and forget. So, just enjoy the extra pinch of salt and pepper now shall we?

Have a great weekend everyone.

Not quite sure how does meat "melt in your mouth" though. I'm sure it's an experience. one that I would have to try for myself.. soon....
