On the Trip to the Waterfall

Imagine the joy of our Maran group when we learnt that we have a waterfall just nearby the town that we’re posted to. At least we felt as if we have something to show when we got back at the end of the 2nd week.

The ones who went to Rompin called us the night they reached the town. KS especially called and asked me to listen to the waves on the other end of the line. “Dude! How are you guys doing? We just finished our dinner! Can you hear the waves? The wind is so strong here… So chilly! So fun!”

So we were determined to call them in at the bottom of the fall and show off that we finished our work early and was having our fun times at a waterfall.

We drove for about half an hour through the narrow lane, going uphill and down, passing by quite some cliff when we finally reached the parking lot leading to the fall. The sound of the fall could merely be heard, but the smell of nature was definitely there.

We hiked through the pavement that led us down towards the stream. It seemed pretty small alright, but we were quite certain the fall would be visible. After all we did hear the voice of some falls.

Or not.

Apparently, we traveled with such anticipation to a big longkang (drain) instead.
