On The Damned Feline

Stupid cat,
Out of the hat,
Stroll around the flat,
Makes people hate.

Oh well, fucked up rhymes whatever. It's not like I give a damn anyways. Thing is, it's all about the damned cat that has been strolling around in the corridor. We first saw it strolling around the corridor, don't even know where it came from.

As time passes by, I started to notice that it has been hanging out a lot in front of my neighbour's room. We found out that the neighbour had been so nice as to feed the cat and have been taking care of it. So there was no wonder it was there, waiting so ever loyally for his caring master.

But here's the thing, it's a stray cat. God knows what it carries. Rabies. Parasites and what not. There's always a chance that it might carry this organism that could cause cat scratch disease or whatsoever.

Things turned for the worse when we learnt that the damned feline went into the neighbour's room and out from their window to the back of the building, and enter our room via our windows. The first time it did, I didn't quite believe KK the roomie, but I changed my bedsheet nonetheless. After all, the stray feline was sitting on my bed!

And it happened again and again. I swear I have never changed my bedsheet so much in a month. I literally washed it once in a week, on average. That was after the cat tried to mark his presence on my bed. So, in another words, I'm like the most hardworking bedsheet changer in the entire hostel. Thanks to the damned feline.

Last night, before mid night, KK asked me to look at the window. There it was, standing on the window seal, arrogantly purring away before I shoed it away. Even threw a wooden clip at it to make sure it's out of our compound. I have since the 2nd time that cat jumped onto my bed, closed the window when I'm not in the room. So imagine how hot it was last night when I went to bed, what's with the roomie's down with fever and everything. Damn feline. DAMN FELINE!

When I came back from the clinic today, the roomie looked at me and smiled sheepishly.

Roomie: Wanna know a bad news?
Me: *shocked* What bad news?
Roomie: You want to know or not?
Me: *skeptically* About what?
Roomie: Animal.
Me: WHAT THE FUCK?! Where was it this time? Did it touch my blanket?
Roomie: Not so sure, it just sleeped there.
Me: Fuck. How long has it been there? Not that it matters anymore.. Fuck need to change again.
Roomie: Not so sure, was shocked myslf when I saw it, tried to shoo it away, but it wouldn't buldge, so chased him out using the broom.

Fuck. I'm furious now. It's not like it's the first time that damned cat jumped into our room. It's been over and over, and so many times I lost count how many times I changed my bedsheet, washed and dried it.

If only there's a way to get rid of that damned feline. I'm angry. I'm frustrated. I'm furious. I'm mad.

Cats and toxoplasmosis. But you're safe as long as you're not pregnant or immunocompromised. ;p

I like froggie's idea. I think the best way to rid the cat is to stop feeding it. Or get a big doggie to scare it away.

Yes don't hurt the cat. Just catch em (wear gloves) and then give it to an animal shelter. Like what Froggie said.

Froggo is banyak pandai. :D But if that's too much trouble, use strong lemon, orange and other citrus smell in your whole room, especially the bed. They hate that smell apparently - use to deter furniture scratching.
