The visit to the temple this year took place really early in the morning. Like... Very very early. Apparently this year, the good time of visiting was from 5am to 7 am.. Oh well, you know... according to the Chinese time...
But anyways... Woke up at 4ish and reached the foot of the temple at 530ish. Not so crowded, which was good. So we climbed up the stairs in one breath. But lo and behold... The crowd... Goodness... Can't even enter the temple! All those from the outskirts were there earlier than us!
Tried to get the josstick to burn... And everyone else were holding the josstick high up to prevent burning other people. But it was so crowded that, people are actually standing almost static inside the temple. Well... some were standing there with intention of course, for their praying...
But at last, we managed to go around and and get them josstick in the ash-pot (??) without getting burnt. LOL
One thing we noticed this year... Apparently, the people staying in the outskirt were the early ones. The ones that came later were, apparently, speaking in Mandarin; as compared to the ones in the temple speaking loudly in Hokkien or erm Hakka. LMAO!
Anyways... Didn't head to the kitchen. Not wanting to push our way in again for the noodles. But sis said, as what she saw on her way to the toilet, worshipers were scooping the noodles with their plates!
Ah well... Nevermind. Chinese New Year... Headed home soon after to catch the returning flight...
