On the Korean Dumpling

So we came across a new night market one day. Somewhere near the expat lands, as how I call it for the huge populations of foreigners cramped in the high rise condominiums there. Out of curious, we went walking around looking for interesting stuff. Other than clothes, there were a few stalls selling mixed rice and two huge fruit stalls...

We thought there wasn't anything interesting when we came across one where the owner was frying some stuff instantly. I stood there for a minute, and the lady was uttering some stuff I couldn't understand. I stood for another 30 seconds before I asked her what it was. "Korean dumpling!" She said, in a heavy Korean accent.

And there we have it. A box of 6 korean dumplings costing 10 bucks. But Korean lady was super nice and gave me 2 deep fried sushi. She said it's for the friend standing behind me. She must've seen how undecided I was when I wanted to buy the dumplings, as I turned around and asked whether my friend wanted some or not, a few times! LOL.

So anyways... Nightmarkets don't actually come with any tables and chairs. And my friend didn't want to sit by the curbside. And in the end, we went to...

LMAO!

Of course, we had some Ice shaken lemon tea from the premise. It just didn't feel right sitting on their chairs and eating food from outside. LOL.

So halfway enjoying our Korean Dumpling, we began to notice some of the hawkers were starting to pack up. It was merely 8.30pm. Usually the night markets would operate until late in the night, from what I experienced in the other night markets. But to see the hawkers start packing up so early, I just find it really surprising.

Like... really... surprised...

Maybe I should pay the place another visit again sometime soon. After all, there are some stalls selling mixed rice and mixed vegetable rice too! Weee!~

On weekends they have bazaar too! Looks like that place will become a pasar malam soon.
Now that Korean Dumpling reminds me of my Korean friends who often served this easy-to-prepare meals as students. Yum! Yum!

The Korean and Jap versions pale in comparison with the "ori" chinese gao zi.
