On the SCKLM2011 Race Kit Collection

It would've been much, MUCH easier, for the running kit to be posted to me, rather that I go there and pick it up manually... But I had no choice but to do so as I registered for the run manually a couple of months ago. But the good thing about it is, the organizer opened up the manual race kit collection for 4 days rather than just 2 days like that of most runs. After all, even if HALF were to pick up the race kit manually, we're expecting like, 11k runners? LOL.

Anyways. Drove down to the National Sports Complex on the first day of the running kit collection after 5. As expected, traffic on the Federal Highway was... horrendous! It took me about 50 minutes to go from the school to the sports complex, plus, 2 tolls costing me 2.20 each. Boohoo.

But as predicted by the organizers, parking was ample indeed. And the queue was practically non-existent! Perhaps it was just the first day... But the collection site was huge. The organizers made use of the entire indoor stadium, setting up multiple booths for different categories to avoid the massive crowd. Have no idea how the crowd was on Saturday, since most from outstation would only come pick up on that day.

Otherwise... I thought the running kit was... basic. LOL. No fancy trial version mini shampoo that, well, might as well no need; you know... stuff like those... But they do have some vouchers that are like, really huge...

Nearly half a thousand off for Timex GPS watch, or something like that... And I thought the watch would be like, really affordable then. But guess what, it's sold at 2k per piece. So even with such huge discounts, that's probably like 25% off already, the watch still cost about 1.5k! So... nahhhhh....

The running vest was... comfortable. Just that... Well... green?

But am not complaining. It was a great run...

More about it tomorrow! :D :D :D :D :D
