So we had the class with the neurosurgeon in the operation theater. Got scolded and smirked at for being a final year student with the knowledge of a first year student. "How are you going to sit for the finals?"
But later while he was in, he actually turned out to be quite nice.
"Medical students, can you see the screen of the microscope?"
"Do you see the pearly white flakes that I told you about? Yes? We don't want to go on top of it because there's a lot of vessels there, so we'll clear the lower part first okay?"
"Can you see the yellowish structure at the base of the cavity? That's the brainstem alright?"
"We've cleared the contents of the cyst, that's why the brainstem came up, because of the pressure inside the brain. So we have to always be careful not to injure it."
"This is the tentorum cerebelli, which seperates the cerebrum from the cerebellum."
Damnit. Neuro-surgery. Why are you so cool? Just when I thought of giving up totally on surgery, you came in.
But I've made up my mind. I'm exhausted. No more studying. I wanna be a drug rep who cheats people. Screw that whateverthigamaji oath. I'm no ethical doctor. LMAO. Kidding.
But neurosurgery... why why why?
