On the Curves to Pai
I remember this quite vividly, the curves to Pai. Pai is a small town located in the Northern Thailand, which can, by now be accessible via flights. But back then, when there were no air strip, the only means of transport to this small little quaint town, was via road. The curvessss as seen in the video above. And that was just about 1 minute long. Imagine enduring a whole couple of hours of that. Literally. Every few seconds we had to swerve to the right or to the left.
Which was why, this was what I heard from our guide, back then, whoever successfully drove this road to Mae Hong Son, would be awarded a certificate from the mayor.
LOL! Interesting!
