Lol. Pardon my holiday mood. It's still Christmas today right? I once heard a friend said, Christmas last for 12 days. So.... Anyways... We had winter solstice Christmas style a week ago. Mum was wondering where we could get the glutinous ball in Klang Valley, having that we're not really familiar with the places around; and all that we're ever familiar with are the malls! But surprisingly, when we were walking towards our car after dinner one night, we passed by a dessert shop.
What caught my attention was their pamphlet of the Christmas themed dessert. So I slowed down, and take a closer look. I flipped the paper over and guess what, Mum's cravings! LOL.
And so, we all headed into the shop for some glutinous balls and to get one year older.
The food was generally okay, although our Christmas themed ice didn't came out like what was printed on the pamphlet... There was no Santa figurine! Boohoo...
Dad didn't like the glutinous ball. Gotta say it's pretty different from what we had back at home, because ours doesn't come with fillings. So he refused to eat any of them balls, even the soup! Apparently, ginger soup smelt weird to him.
Mum on the other hand, enjoyed the food. The glutinous ball and the ice alike. She thought at least we wouldn't be too bloated with the ginger in the dessert. I thought so too.
But what really attracted me most was actually this.
Dad despised the smell! Sis didn't wanna touch it. So that left Mum and I one each!
Durian cake! YUMMY~~
So we kept on blowing our breath at the two other family members who didn't wanna touch them durian cake. LOL.
