I'm still pretty much amazed with the private hospital that we went to yesterday for the vaccination. Like, seriously. I've heard some private hospitals could be like that, but I've never seen one for real. I mean, the one that I went to back in my hometown, it's pretty much the same like the hospital where I'm doing my clinical year. But this one... it's amazing.
The waiting area for the emergency department was pretty nicely done. The pharmacy is also in the same wing.
The admission and payment counter though, is on the other wing.
The hospital concierge is spacey with a lot of room.
There's also an international patient centre. Not sure why there's such a room, but I suppose it's to help quarantine the patient should they be suspected of carrying some, I don't know, air-transmitted diseases? LOL.
As you can see, it's a 8-floor hospital, with the top floor being the administrative office and one auditorium, followed by 2 floors of the high-class wards. The 4th floor house the labor ward and intensive care unit. The ground floor hosts the emergency department as well as the pharmacy, while the first floor and second floor host the specialist clinic. The lower ground floor is used as the laboratory and the file-keeping store.
But when it first opened, it was already being promoted to be a center of stem cell research or something like that. There's a big banner about stem cells, about its benefit of storing them. There used to be some big ethical issues about stem cells not long ago, especially when there's idea of human cloning. But the stem cells stored here is used to treat future diseases that a person can have, for example leukemia or liver disease.
I didn't get to visit the ward. Phuh, what am I talking about right? But then again, walking around in the hospital is kind of an eye-opener. The decorations were pretty impressive. They actually provide hand sanitizer too. Well, I thought the private hospital wouldn't.
But overall, I thought it was cool. There are stalls around, selling food especially, to cater for the patient's family members I suppose. Now call me crazy, but I actually have an interest in visiting hospitals. LOL. Guess I'm good to go as a health ministry inspector?

i think the patient will ' recover ' faster with such comfortable and interesting environment kan?
#daniel: I agreed with you. The patient will recovered faster but they will faint and got sick again after seeing the final bill.
You should see Bamrungraj Hospital in Bangkok which has TZ's Starbie inside since 10 years ago. They slaughter all the Mat Sallehs alive! LOL
Gleneagles in Ampang will really build their adjacent 5-Star Hotel right behind their medical center. They have roped me in for their loyalty program and I wonder how they will charge the patients?
# tz : ' DANIEL' ???
