On Being Super Sarawakian (Prt2)

My second baby delivery, I was very lucky to deliver a mommy who had 3 previous deliveries before. So it was fast and just a little tear which, the house officer let me did the suturing. It was my first time suturing, I thought it was a very ugly stitch, and I apologized to the mommy profusely for causing pain. But I just couldn't thank her enough for being so patient with me.

2 hours later when I walked passed her bed again, she looked at me, smiling. I greeted her and asked how she's holding up. She said she's fine, and asked me for a favor, if I could lend her my phone to call her husband. I keyed in the number and passed her my phone.

She spoke in the typical Sarawakian Malay. Blimey!

After she hung up, I asked her, "You're from Sarawak?"

"Yeah. How do you know?"

"Your dialect. I'm from the state too."

"Oh really! Good, that's great!"

So we chatted a bit. I asked her how she ended up in KL, and how she's maintaining the long distance relationship with her husband back home, and her kids over here and all. And we were talking about where I stay and all when when the "annoying MO" from yesterday's post came into the room and overheard our conversation.

She interrupted us and spoke in the local Malay dialect, asking the patient what she's doing, and asked about the dental service in Kuching. And she asked where the patient's staying, and answered BDC before she cound answer. Eeew. So pretentious. Just because she studied there doesn't mean she could boast her ability to converse in the local dialect. And just because the uni was near to BDC doesn't mean she knows the place. So bloody annoying.

But after she left, patient gladly talked to me again. Ehehe! She asked me if I'm heading back after graduating. "Of course, I don't like the pretentious people over here."

ROARRR!!! LMAO. I think I went a bit overboard there. LOL. Then again, I think I might be over sensitive sometimes. Especially when it comes to people who made me upset.

I'm sorry, but I'm really fragile... LOL
