On Being Realistic

See, call me selfish for all I care. I'm just being realistic. More often than not, when we're given an opportunity, a golden opportunity we've always wanted, since forever, we prefer not to share it and work our way for it. It's just basic human instinct right?

'Cuz there's a thing called competition. And being realistic.

Who would be stupid enough to announce to the entire world that there's a pot of gold underneath the tree at the corner of the road when you know that, if more people know about it, more will come and fight with you for the gold?

Stupid people who pretend to be so ever generous.

What bull.

The worse is, there are actually gold diggers who just wanna join in the fun and dig them up so that they can have a piece of those gold to stuff underneath their pillow, and not put those gold to use.

I mean, if you are no certain whether or not you want that certain thing, why do you even want to get it? When there are some other people who really WANT that piece of gold, maybe to treat their ailing mother!

So yeah, I'm pretty annoyed so to speak. With the ones who shared the news about that pot of gold. And with those who just want to go and dig the gold even though they've already got their pot of gold.

And I believe I'm not the only one who'd feel so. Put yourself in my shoes and see from my perspective. It's not a matter of the more the merrier. We're talking about golden opportunities here. We're not talking about festive seasons.

But somehow, some people just are not smart enough. Period.
