On Sleeping too much

Since the parents were over in town for the school holiday, I decided to join them over at Sis's place one night as I didn't have any class the following morning. So it was really a bliss sleeping until 8 in the morning when the hot sun started to burn my feet, waking me up.

Walked out to the balcony and joined Mum looking down at the road running in front of the residential area.

"Sleep sooo much." Mum said.

I looked at her, snapped back, "I was tired!"

I mean, I really was sleepy! I didn't stayed up long enough and wait from them the night before because they only touched down at midnight, and by the time they arrived from the airport, it was waaaaaay past midnight at 2am. Sis fell asleep waiting for them in the living room. I just went to my room and sleep, leaving the door open, thinking I'd be able to wake up when they arrived. But that said, of course I didn't.

I don't really think she meant what she said. Probably she was just trying to joke a bit early in the morning. But I somehow felt offended. Big time. What's wrong with sleeping? Are you saying I should wake up early? I need 7 hours of sleep every night, with a short nap in the day. As much as many see sleeping as a waste of time, I on the other hand strongly believe it's the only way we revitalize our weary self.

So what's wrong with sleeping until 8 a.m. in the morning?

Now that I think about it, I should've just asked her, "Is it a sin?"

Hey there! I am basically [blog hopping] reading ur blog posts up until here and finally decides to drop a comment haha. (I admire ur writing skills and sense of humour ;D)

It is definitely not a sin to sleep! Even for me, myself, I need a minimum of 8hours of sleep. Otherwise, I'd be like a walking zombie. Haha.
