It was the last day of the week when the girl asked if I'm interested in another Japanese-restauarant eat-all-you-want. Apparently Sakae Sushi is offering a fixed price for all the sushi in pink plate from 3pm to 6pm on weekdays. Now I'm not sure if the other branches has got the same promotion, but it was exactly at 3pm when the girls and I hit the one in Klang for the promotion.
See, the thing about students, they know where to find promotions. I don't know how they got to hear about it, but when it comes to me, it's either the promotion is coming to an end, or that it's already a stale news. Either one, I guessed I was still able to try them.
So there we were, in the evening of a boring Friday, savouring ourselves with all the sushi we could have. We ordered tamaki straight away. This is nice. That is nice. This one is also nice. They say this one is must try... And that's how we ended with 4 each just after 2 minutes we sat down.
There's also some normal sushi that I think is also available in Sushi King. But what makes it different in Sakae Sushi, it feels as if the toppings are much more compared to SK. Of course, that include the glutinuous rice below it too. So it wasn't long before all of us were too tired from eating.
And what's more, there's a bowl of free udon that comes with the promotion. It was only 40 minutes past 3pm when one of us blurt the first words of "I think I'm full already". Ahem ahem. Seriously. At the pace we were eating, it was no doubt that we got bloated in quite a short time.
But we did stay for a while longer. Ordering all the other dishes that's included in the promotion set. Some side orders that cost 3.90RM. Chawanmushi is delicious. And for the first time, I thought the green tea was nice. Damn, reminiscing about it makes my tummy growl now.
We finally call it a day at the restaurant after 2 hours. Cam-whoring with the towers of plate we produced, I was pretty sure some of the passer-bys outside of the restaurant saw us with the plates. Well hey, it wasn't as if we ate half a hundred like what the previous group of colleagues did. But I suppose it was still applausable that the 3 of us consumed 40 plates of sushi. Not forgetting 2 of them were girls.
The bill came out quite expensive so to speak. Shocking. So it was a relieve that in the end, it only cost us 23RM each. Taxes excluded.
And now I'm officially hungry. Damn my blogging intentions. Blergh.
