On the Roleplay in Bera

It was a nightmare driving through the hilly roads as it rained quite torrentially around 6p.m. that day. We had to slow down to the speed of just 30mph to avoid any mishaps. We passed by some other towns on our way there as we didn’t take the highway. But one thing worth mentioning, have you noticed how big the hospital of Temerloh is?!

Like twice bigger than the one in Klang!!!

Rest assured, we arrived safely at KW’s place in Bera with foods awaiting. KW contacted his parents earlier about us visiting so his parents prepared steamboat. And there we were wallowing up all the foods. Fish balls, meat balls, crab sticks, hot dogs, noodle and vegetables… And the glutinous rice, like gosh so damn nice!

And it was games after dinner. With all of us full to the brim and still a tray of fish balls yet to be eaten, we decided to punish whoever losing in the game with the fish balls. To some of the girls’ horror really, that the accumulation doubled and tripled in no time as each game of poker doesn’t take that long a time.

And so we switched to playing ‘Killer’ instead. It was a time-killing game really.

With a narrator, the story goes by one villager being killed by the killer in each round. Angels were supposed to help lead the villagers in finding the killer without revealing who the killer actually is, while the doctor is supposed to save the villagers he thought was killed by the killer.

And all the time, everyone was supposed to close their eyes, until each of the players with the role executed their part. And only after that was when everyone could look up to find out who was being killed, or not, and discussions were carried out to kick a person out, who everyone thought could be the killer.

If the killer is kicked, then the villagers win. Otherwise, the game continues for another round, and the killer wins when he managed to kill 80% of the other players.

So it started of with me as the doctor. Saving myself.

And the second time also a doctor, saving myself; followed by another round as a doctor, and the fourth as an angel, who managed to lead the villagers to kill the killer. Finally me the killer and won by killing the angel and leading the villagers to kick out the doctor.

Such a bliss. The others were jealous that I had a role in all the 4 rounds we played before we made a move. And no one could even imagined, me holding the card of healing hands 3 times in a row!

Somehow, after that night, ‘Killer’ became such a popular game throughout the entire time we were in Maran.

Clearly, we didn’t spend the night at KW’s place apparently. There were 20 of us that night.

Went over and spent the night at the Rakan Muda complex with another group who were stationed in Bera. Compare that with ours. Urgh.
