On Using Half-a-K

In a crazy world today, anything can happen. You have E you have V and you have poppers and what not... I'm sure there's this K even. And yeah, here's a little confession of my using of K. Not the first. There were many experiences before. Just that I think, this time the K took more effects...

Half-a-K... RM500. Yeaps, it is THAT expensive. So here's what I hear my mum saying:-

Kids nowadays are such spendrifts! They have no idea what their parents sacrificed for them. That their parents rather spent their hard-earned money for their kids, getting things so expensive never in their minds they would get for themselves.

That when their kids grew older and were sent off to college, the one thing that ever comes into their mind is, whether their kids will have enough to spend. Of course, amongst other concerns as to whether their children are eating fine or hanging out with the right people. But in one way or another, they're still concern for the financial expenses of their children.

That they would give 50% of their monthly income to their children and 30% for payment of loans and household expenses and 10% for future savings while the remaining for getting more small fish for soup to go with rice.

Or at least that was what my parents said they're having at home so that they could support all of us in our ever so expensive lifestyles in Kuala Lumpur.

So imagine what depression it brought me when I do my Christmas shopping this year. In just 3 hours, it was half-a-K gone to Mid Valley city. For things I need. And for things I want.

Peek-a-boo!

The new member of the shoes collection that cost 40% of a-K. Joy joy joy! But at the same time, it's a sharp stagger being stabbed straight to the beating heart.

And the next 10% of a-K goes to a new jacket. Fuck me you heard me right. What do I need so many jackets for in the equator right? Like I'm not gay enough with my mini wardrobe in the tiny room in my hostel, I am actually squeezing in more clothing apparels! I sooooo need a walk-in wardrobe.

But what do people say about shopping: it's a good therapy for the neurotics.

So now I wonder: How long will it be before the bleeding heart will heal for me to upgrade the baby with an external flash and a new lens? Maybe next Christmas...

So maybe, I'll just hug the new shoes to sleep this Christmas...

Honestly, me being a worse case than you is not in any position to give any comment/advice...

But yeah, I guess it's acceptable IF you spend within your budget and whatever you are getting are valuable (to yourself, your ego, whatever) and durable in proportion to its cost.

LoL this coming from a person who just spent 5 million RUPIAH on fashion necessities alone =S
