I like my variety postings in the community clinic. We're arranged to help out in the different departments. The maternal child health clinic, the triage counter, the labs, the pharmacy, treatment room and what not. At least we get to play around with stuff. And by stuff I mean... needles and rapid testing kits... and even drugs. :D
So while I'm still playing in the 'playground' instead of doing what we're taught to do, i.e. taking history and doing physical examination and coming to a diagnosis, I won't want to waste my time reading books instead.
And 2 days ago we saw this rapid test kit for HIV.
Should I? Should I not? Hmmm... The nurse wasn't in the room. I could do this without her knowing... Hmmmm.... Should I??? Should I not????
Okay I should. Might as well do it now without needing to consult any medical personnel who'd come with gazillions questions or counseling...
It moves so slowly...
And slowly...
I was watching it moving...
The wait was undoubtedly traumatising...
The last time I went to do this anonymous screening for fun, it wasn't as denerving...
But I guess doing it now... It is...
When finally the result appear....
Hallelujah...
Still am negative.
But still doesn't guarantee I'm safely negative. Sigh. And nope, not going to tell why. Back off! LOL.
