Mummy is in her 8th pregnancy, 6 children before with one miscariage. And she's 35. The bigger the family, the merrier it'll be. But she had her children born in 1993, 1994, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, and the miscarriage at 2003, with 5 years apart, she conceived another one this year. Fine. Not everyone have the habit of doing family planning.
But when we all learnt that the Daddy works as a farmer and odd job worker, earning 800 bucks per month... Like seriously 800?? Supporting 8 people in the nucleus family?!
Not enough with that, they adopted a son 3 years ago. And their Mum, a.k.a the loads of kids' grandparents live together with them. Daddy and Grandma has the habit of smoking, with Daddy smoking up to 2 packs of cigarettes per day. Okay... fine... villagers smoke cheap traditional cigarettes.
And mum said they don't have any financial problem.
Amazed?
I've seen patients who earn 1k per month with 3 or 4 children.
I've seen patients who earn 1.2k per month with 5 children.
But I've not seen patients who earn 800 per month with 8 non-working children.
I am amazed.
Maybe Daddy has a secret money tree that he doesn't want anyone to know... Hmmmm

4 Jujus:
I think the dad has secret cave that has so much treasure in it ... hahaha :-p
Anyway, sometime think about it ... how to give the children the best education if the basic needs also have challenge to overcome ... sigh!
And many of them are still having happy lives whilst some others who earn 5-figure salaries are miserable! :)
Have a wonderful weekend ya! ^_^
i notice it even more here. families in the outskirts survive on so little. hubby can earn 15.00 a day and mummy 8.00 a day n they survive well. perhaps they keep their lives simple. in KL everything costs money. not so here. actually my family spends very little if u take away the house mortgages n stuff like that. we dont need much to survive.
tz, that's why lor... even the basic needs also hard to fulfill...
anton, well... tat just proved money is not everything innit?
bengbeng, :) location factor?
