On the Mid-autumn Festival

Once upon a time, during the Yuan dynasty, China was ruled by the Mongolian people. Leaders from the preceding Sung dynasty were unhappy at submitting to the foreign rule, and set how to coordinate the rebellion without being discovered. The leaders of the rebellion, knowing that the Moon Festival was drawing near, ordered the making of special cakes...

And today, this is what we get.

Sis brought little brother up from his blardy college in Nilai to the civilisation rays of Petaling Jaya since he's got a one week break. And coincidently, it conjuncts with the mid-autumn festival. They drove down to pay me a visit this evening. Bringing along 4 mooncakes.

The guts they have to actually buy them. Knowing hotels' stuff are blardy overpriced. Merely 2 inches in diameter, they actually bought 2 of Nikko Hotel's mooncake. It cost the same of that from Overseas or Kum Lun Tai which was way larger. No doubt it's delicious. But I still prefer the one from Hilton. Delishhh....

We had our festive dinner in BBQ Plaza inside AEON Bukit Tinggi. Was thinking of taking them for the Bak Kut Teh since everyone associate the town with that dish. But it was the sun was burning every single living thing, figuratively, that we opted for the mall.

Don't ask me what happened on the table. I know it was a mess. But what is the point of having steamboat if you're not going to mess the table right?

Overall, I rate the shop 5/10. For one, I got really annoyed with that green dragon mascot they have out front. And that commercial they play on the plasma tv... I swore I would never ever step into the franchaise when I first saw it in OneUtama. But to pass by the plasma tv showing the ad everyday, rest assured, I can tell you I'm really irritated. Double "L" lame. But since sis wanted steamboat over the other restaurants, so be it. Thankful enough they don't have that lame dragon walking around inside the premise.

We couldn't possibly finish the generous amount of cabbage cushioning the raw meats. So it was later made the cushion for our over-10bucks-merely-2-inches-in-diameter mooncake from Nikko Hotel.

Bless the guy cleaning our table after we left alright.

And happy mid-autum festival to all the readers out there. ;) Here's one of the desert we had from Hilton. Something about red bean pasta with mango custard. Odd mixture, but 2 thumbs up. A must try really ( and it's bigger than Nikko Hotel's LOL! ). You can get it in Mid Valley. That's where my sis got it.
