Happy Birthday Mummy!

Mum's half a century yesterday, as in the 19th of December. We went to Italiannies at One Utama for some fine dining. It was fun as a whole. Such a nice place to hang out. I've read in a few flogs that going to Italiannies, there are some Do's and Don'ts.

To Do :
1) Bring all your gang, family n etc that can eat alot!
2) Pig Out!!
3) Pig Out!! :)

Not to do:
1) Eat alone
2) Dine with your "the other half" who is on a strict diet
3) First Date (unless you are trying to impressed him/her with your eating abilities)

Excerpt from Honey Star

Lil Bro was excited about it all. He was a bit frustrated he didn't bring the digital camera. But, knowing me, I did have mine along. I was thinking of driving them to the Eyes of Malaysia after dinner since my holidays started today. And so, I let him fulfill his photography hunger, but to which eventually, myself playing with the gadget on being artistic, but yea, knowing me, I failed miserably. *LMAO* It's pretty hard to get a decent stable one, when mine doesn't come with anti-shake, and with the lightings and all... so my pics aren't exactly sharp.

We ordered our dishes. Dad was calculating in his heart. Celebrating Mum's birthday and he's the one paying. *LMAO* In the end, each of us ordered a main course, but no desert nor fine drinks, just the bottomless soft drinks. *LMAO* Basically, dad's gotten his share a plate of fried rice with seafood (but the rice turned out to be a bit wet); Mum's got Carbonara Salad ( if I didn't get the spelling wrong, it's something like that); Sis's got Smoked Salmon Pizza (I personally only liked the Salmon. LOL); I ordered something chicken (not too bad, pretty much like Kenny Rogers) while Lil Bro gotten his share as steak, medium-cooked (which turned out to be pretty good). It was our first time having half-cooked steak, honestly. And Mum refused to try it. But we somehow did managed to get her to eat it, as we were there to try new stuff. She only ate a small piece, but she did agreed it was quite nice.

Anyway, we didn't have any candles-blowing at the Italian place, as we had our cake-cutting ceremony the night before. Housemies were asking when to meet my family, and since family was okay with having a dinner with housemies, I arranged a dinner on Mum's Birthday eve. We went to New Paris in PJ. I've never been there, but it's a reasonable place with reasonable price alright.

Mum didn't expect me to get my housemies to celebrate her birthday. She thought it would just be a normal gathering between my family and my housmies. I went to get a birthday cake, and about 45 minutes after the first dish, we were on the cakes already. Dad thought he would be paying. So he ordered Pork and Steam fish and everything he thought pricey. . . Dad was shocked that YL went to pay for the meal. He kept on asking me why did I let them pay, and assuming they're not really feeling okay with that, Mum decided to give Ang Pau's to all of them. How parents are always parents...

It might not really be a great celebration. I didn't feel Mum was feeling extremely great about it. Plus, with me and my attitude, I'm sure she doesn't really enjoy the remaining few days of their holidays here. But still, it does take a lot of courage of me to put up that smile and meet up with them. I honestly feel so. I would rather stay at home, really. But it's my dearest Mummy.... What else can I say?

Happy Birthday Mum! Love you...
