Yay! It's about food again! teehee...
Today we went to this other restaurant in SS2. I'm sorry the pic is a bit dark though, we came out at 7.30pm, and even if the sign has a flouroscent light beneath it, the shop owner had yet to switch it on. My buddy once told me the curry noodle here is nice. Plus, since we missed it the day when we went to Nam Heong, I thought about this place straight away when we were deciding as to where we wanted to have our dinner. As usual, the makan buddies are my fellow housemates, YL, KK and CH, including myself...
So, we ordered the famous dish - the 100 Year Old Street Curry. We had a choice of either noodle or vermecellie (or is it vercimellie?? ). CH and KK both had the noodle, while YL had mix and I chose the later. It was delicious alright. Wasn't hot at all. It tasted a bit sweet in fact. It was only later that the shop owner told us we had to mix the paste they provided into the soup to get the curry taste. LOL. But still, even without the paste, it's nice. They put prawn, some yau char kueh, beansprout as well as kerang (God! I forgot what it's called in English!). Price wise, it cost $5 per bowl.
Other than the main course, we also got ourselves some side dishes. Penang Lobak, Spring Roll and Golden Tofu. Don't ask me what's the difference of Golden Tofu and the normal tofu, I don't know how to exactly describe it. It's not the normal tofu for sure, it's pretty much like a softer version of spring roll. Having that, the Spring Roll they serve here is in fact FRIED spring roll, and it's not entirely meat as well!
As for desert, I got myself ABC. What can I say, it's just quite the best I've tasted so far. :P
Seems like my weekend is spent so much on food.. HEHE. But I would really suggest this place we went today if you are looking for yummy stuff... >.<
