Okay, so I had this post about my car being towed, and there's this comment from an unknown guy. Honestly, I felt a bit annoyed there's this annonymous guy commenting me showing off about the car. But I'm going to be nice and not going to bitch about him, I'm going to tell what really happened.
The Truth Revealed
KW and KK asked me to skipped labs on Tuesday afternoon. It was on cestodes and trematodes. There were supposed to be lots and lots of stuff to see under the microscopes on display, but I did managed to snapped basically all those stuff before labs started at 2. Test on Pathology and Medical Microbiolgy would be on Thursday (yesterday) and the end of course test for Epidemiology and Statistics on Friday (today). Skipping class haven't been my cup of tea since after the convocation week holiday, I was reluctant at first. Since everyone's so damn tired of the long stretch of exams over 2 weeks, I couldn't help it but to agree to the temptation.
So, I followed KK on his bike while KW had to stay back at the library due to the refusal of his girlfriend to be absent in the lab. When we got home, I checked on the mailbox out of usual habit once in a few days to see if there's any warning letter from the management for not settling the water bills. Coincidently, there was one yellow letter from TNB urging us to settle the payment for August. So KK and I went out straight after without changing our clothes. We drove the new car since it was skin-burning. Upon reaching the TNB Tower adjacent to Amcorp Mall, we were directed to the payment shop in PJ New Town. So further down the road I drove.
As usal, the town was congested with heavy traffic. Unable to find a parking space wasn't an issue anymore. I had to asked KK to go pay while I wait in the car. It wasn't before long that I noticed the thermo indicator blinking and the meter achieved maximum number of bars. I turned off the engine straight away, and were welcomed with this really annoying yet threatening noise from the engine. Once I opened the door, vapour were raising from the side of the steering wheel, some physics phenomenon I supposed. It sounded like something's fried. KK came out not long later, and were informed about the situation. Being a bitch, I totally have no idea whatsoever to do when it comes to car engines. I didn't even know how to open the bonet (no, i dunno what u call it in engulish)...
I called the Proton-iCare 24 hours service number and asked for assistance. I was asked to call up my agent to get this number or something. Then the insurance company refused to tow my car to the service centre. And in the end, it was more than 20 calls before I finally get the insurance company to listen to me. Apparently, insurance company hadn't even received the form submission for my car, thus lawfully speaking, I wasn't covered and I had to pay for the towing service. Finally when the agent from the insurance company called back, I told her I'd call her back since I'm blocking other people's traffic. I drove as fast as I could to reach Amcorp Mall. That's where all this photos are taken. Apparently, it was only after another 10 calls, the insurance company finally settled the problem with my dealer, and a towing truck was on the way.
blimey green liquid spilling all over
car on tow :-( I was with KW's car
car on tow :-( I was with KW's car
So there you have it, that's how my car ended up on tow. No, it wasn't because of the bank. I was just kidding in the comment reply for my previous post. It just heart-breaking seeing how my new car could malfunction so fast. And how it jumped when it was towed over some uneven road surface. God, it's only 2 weeks old, and it's in the clinic already. What's worse, the 1st service which was set at 1000 Miles was done when I've only drove the car 3 times over 44 Miles. What a waste... So much of a new car...
Anyhow, I did got back my car the next day. I had no idea what's the problem. Technician at the service centre told me about it, but like I said, I don't know anything about car engines. The green slimey fluid however, as what I understood, was some cooling agent which was dispersed all over the engine when the tube was broken. *Sigh*... so much of a new car... so much of a Proton...
1 Jujus:
