On Trailing Beijing #06: Clocks of All Sizes

Inside the Palace Museums, view like this is common; more so when there are so many concubines or princes and princesses... So now that there are none of those, all these buildings had been turned into museums collecting millions of collections... So yeah, there is this part of the Palace Museum exhibiting clocks and clocks alone.

It was just bizarre to find such big heavy machines sitting in the middle of the room and the face of the clock was as small as that of a watch. Perhaps people in the ancient times had nothing better to do, and researching on clocks had become a hobby.

Or not...

This particular clock has a man beneath it that could actually write as the clock struck a certain time.

Seriously?!
