On Trailing Beijing #03: Bell Tower

It was drizzling that late afternoon. But we were not deterred. We needed to get to the Bell Tower. The tower that houses an ancient giant bell that survived the invasion of The Eight-power Allied Forces. After walking in the rain for more than 30 minutes and purchased our entrance ticket, we were welcomed yet by another challange... The dreadful staircase...

But it was all worth it.

The view was magnificent...

Standing in the Bell Tower looking at the Drum Tower across the square.

And the view of 后海 "Hou Hai", the lake in the Northwestern Beijing...

Eh, this Xian also has Bell Tower & Drum Tower. I think the ones in Beijing look bigger.
