On Selling the Shelf

Had been putting up notices on facebook and spreading words that I wanted to sell the shelf before I move out of hostel since before the previous exam. But who'd known right, I extended my stay. But it was a couple months back that I got an email contact from someone who saw my placement of advertisement on a website called donateyourjunk. So after exchanging some emails, we finally settled for just 75bucks on the shelf, self pickup.

The buyer decided to come over to the hostel on Friday night. Since I wasn't sure how long it was gonna take to dismantle the shelf, I took the liberty to search around the house for suitable screwdrivers and found that the spanner in the toolbox in the car fits perfectly. The day before, I started to dismantle it and within an hour, it went from a big shelf to just...

I looked at the little pieces, and this bittersweet memories came flushing in. It looked so small already, and I could easily carry it home in my car, and fix it up again at home. There's no need to sell it off! What's more, at just 75 bucks? I thought I purchased it at 180 or something, including the fixing and transport charges.

Sigh...

But alas, it was gone.

And my heart has an empty hole now.

Oh well. What the heck, I'm already hating this place.
