On IQ Versus Common Sense

So there was this child, 10 years old, very intelligent. Mum's a highly respected lawyer, Dad's a highly respected surgeon. And even at the tender age of 10, he's taught to read news papers, and he's following even the politics in the country. Very smart.

First time out at sea for open sea fishing, he was taught to place the bait on the hook and to throw them into the sea.

Common sense would be that, you throw the bait out, holding to one end of the rod, and let the bait fall freely...

Smart child follow closely to the instruction, and anxiously, hooked the bait, and threw them into the sea.

When his dad come asking where his rod was, "I threw them into the sea. You said placed the bait on the hook then threw them into the sea."

Common sense clearly cannot be taught.

Amen.
