On the Stress Level During the Finals

We were waiting in the waiting room before our short case exam on Thursday, when I overheard one of my classmates mentioning she would be going for some food binging after the exam because her eating habit had been a haywire for the previous 2 weeks.

Maybe 5 weeks for me. Including the 3 weeks of study weeks.

The final exams this year saw me experiencing a new level of stress. I thought I was quite calm in the sense that I didn't have much palpitation, except for a few minutes before I enter the clinical exams, of which human interactions and uncertain cases were concerned. But the theory papers were, I'd say, I wasn't as scared as years before.

But it only occurred to me that, perhaps I was in so much stress that I didn't even know I was stressed out.

Sympathetic drive was over the rooftop. Sympathetic innervations is what we say, "fight or flight", where you actually start sweating, and your heart beating fast

and your pupils dilate... Symptoms that you experience when you're chased by a crazy dog. So with that, I was actually having multiple ...

For a moment, I thought I was bulemic or something. Even when I don't eat a

nything, I would be feeling as though something was behind my throat and the urge to vomit comes up, and I would be "Wuuueeekkk" with noth

ing followed by a few bouts of cough.

The sympathetic vomiting was so bad that, I had the urge every other 15 minutes. It was terrible...

And the next thing that comes into play, was the throbbing headache that was not relieved by sleep and rest. I was practically chewing on Panadols every 8 hours to help the pain that comes thumping with every steps I took.

By the end of 2 weeks, I've finished 3 strips of the painkiller. =.="

But anyhow, with the nerve wrecking event finally over, here's to another nerve wrecking moment. Waiting for the results...
