So one day I finally told the parents about the accident I nearly had quite a while back. There was this time when I was driving on this road passing through some residential area in the middle of the night after a night call. I admit it was my fault speeding despite seeing the slippery road sign. So subsequently, the car slowly headed to the side of the road, and when I tried to turn it back to the original lane I was driving on, I finally lost control.
The car swerved and started to turn, somewhat drifting. I stepped on the brakes as hard as I could, but the car not only didn't stop, I thought I nearly turned the car over. Finally, I pulled on the brake, and finally put the drifting to a halt.
Lucky me though, there were no cars heading my way in the middle of the night.
Mum: How come you never mentioned about that?
Me: Long time ago already mar.
Mum: But how come you never brought it up?
Me: I didn't die what.
Mum: Choi choi choi!

Every mum's nightmare would be to see their off springs die earlier than them. Even slightest accidents sure freak them out, so you were wise to keep them to yourself. I only let my mum hear what she loves to hear only.
ditto! I never told my mum about the broken plates, the torn skins, the broken mirrors until she sees them XD
