On Spotting a Minute Mistake

MAJOR DISCOVERY! A mistake in a surgical textbook. LOL. Not that it's a life and death mistake, but it would be if we answered that in our Finals. LOL.

See, this inguinal hernia thing, it's been causing a lot of confusion since I was in my first year of clinical schools. Was scolded upside down for not knowing the anatomical landmark of where the deep inguinal ring is. Because, well, I got it all mixed up. Pubic tubercle? Pubic symphysis? Mid inguinal point? Midline of inguinal ligament? @.@

But the mistake that I spotted in the book, is not even the confusion of mid-inguinal point and midline of inguinal ligament. It's just probably a mistake that escaped the eye of the reviewer. The 7th line in the picture; it should be pubic tubercle and ASIS, not pubic symphysis, that would be the bone and nothing there.

Well. Don't get me do you? LOL.

Nevermind. I'm just self-entertaining.

haha it thought pubic symphysis was the bones near the pelvic girdles?

btw i think im ending up in medicine anyway. dentistry is just way too boring.

lifeless and it sounds to be a doc, but i think i will enjoy the time being away from home~

Totally don't get it.

you sir are correct. the midpoint of inguinal ligament is between the ASIS and pubic tubercle.

i don't think it's a small mistake, considering that surgery is all about finding surface landmarks and cutting them open.
