So I followed the doctors in charged for paediatrics night round not long back. As we walked into the special care nursery where babies were born prematurely or has very low birth weight, we decided to stand at the back quite far from where the doctors were discussing about the patients.
One of the medical officer turned around, and smile. "Hi."
Surprised, I replied, with a suspicious tone, "Hi."
Then I turned to look at the other medical officers.
Noticing the awkward in the atmosphere, this doctor turned around again, "You're the father right?"
My eyes wide open, smile awkwardly...
"Nooo..." All the others present answered unanimously.
Well. I was following them from the first ward they were in, P1 to P2 to P5 to P4 then finally the special nursery care. Perhaps I was "small" enough to be noticed earlier. LOL.
