When you're living in an oven, you're bound to think of eating something cold to cool yourself. Not sure if it's scientifically proven to be healthy or not, and neither do I know if it's a proven fact, but I crave for cold drinks or dessert a lot when I'm in Banting. The daytime temperature easily goes up to 37 degrees, I think. It was burning the skin if we were to walk under the uncovered pathways. Sometimes at night, the breeze was warm too!
So. One night after dinner. I just couldn't take it any longer, and decided to head out to town.
There was a shop selling iced dessert. Just by the main road.
Sat down by the road, so that it would be cooler. And waited for a few minutes. Waiter came.
"Cendol one."
"No cendol boss."
I stared back in disbelief. Speechless. But was too tired to ask further why. So I ended up with...
At least it did quench the craving for something cold some how...
