On the Highest Level of a Doctor

One of the Professors in Orhtopaedics department asked us one day, what's the highest level a doctor can achieve in this profession?

It's not only being respected by your patients, that they look at you differently.

It's not only being loved by your patients, that they come to visit you again and again when they feel unwell.

It's not only being trusted by your patients, that they only trust your management plans despite the other doctors told them the same.

But you're at the highest level when, you performed a surgery on a patient, and the wound was infected, that when he comes to visit you again, despite with pus dripping from that wound, he still enthusiastically shake your hands and thank you vigorously.

Because the patient believe you're the best and you've done the best that you could that no other doctors can do any better.

That's the highest level a doctor can achieve.
