On Maxis Broadband rebate

I was in the clinic when I received a call yesterday morning. I thought it'd be someone from Nikon, but turned out to be from Maxis. *swt* And I knew instantly what they wanted to do. Another survey. I was right, so I took the chance and started complaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiining.

Not that I'm trying to be mean or anything. But I honestly did have some unhappy encounters with Maxis broadband wireless. For one, there was this very bad miscommunication when the collection department called up and asked me to pay my 3 months overdue bills, but when I called the customer service to double check, they said I still have some balance in my account. Who'd have knew, it was only when I check during the 4th month, my account was already suspended. *swt*

Then, every month after the 20th, my band-with just slowed down tremendously, when I called up to check, they said I exceeded my data usage. But when I double check on the Maxis web-page, I barely used half of my usage. *double swt*

So I complained and complained and complained outside of the consultation room, until all the waiting patients were looking at me one kind.

After all those complaints, the guy finally said, "Sir, I'll forward all your complains. But for the time being, since you've been using Maxis for the past 2 years, we're going to give you 20 bucks rebate every month for the next one year. There'll be no contracts whatsoever. Just the rebate."

I was like, "Uh, again again??"

"You're paying 68 bucks monthly now right? Now we're giving you 20 bucks rebate every month from February onwards for one year, so you'll only need to pay 48 bucks monthly. There's no contracts whatsoever, your bandwith will still be the same. It's a privilege we at Maxis are giving you because you've been using Maxis for the past 2 years."

My eyes sparkled. Bloody hell this Maxis. At times when I almost wanna give up and sign for another provider, they're giving me this. Bloody hell it's like the cheapest I could get in the market already. Bloody hell of course I'll continue subscribing to them lor. Bloody hell I don't think I'll be stupid enough to give up and sign up for those wifi whatsoever which I heard also is as bad lor. So... bloody hell why is Maxis doing this to me?!

But then again, I'm of course happy. Being a loyal customer has its perks eh? *ahem* Hinting: Loyal.

Later on when I got back to my room to go online, the shitty line's giving me so much trouble again. Slow connection. Slow loading page. Loading time exceeded. So bloody frustrating.

Might as well give me one year free of charge right?

Telcos in Bangkok is offering broadband at similar price but their bandwidth is 2-4 Mbps!

Go for streamyx. Just terminate it. Let them even with rebates and cheaper rate, you're not going to use their service. Tell them that service comes first, not the price.

Haha. At least you got some money back. That is usually impossible.
