On Counting Ambulance

So the parents were over for a week during Christmas last year. But it was quite a sad thing that I was posted to the Accident and Emergency Department for the 2 weeks of which one was during their stay. And being in that posting means I gotta be on shifts in the department learning about emergency medicine, which I personally thought is too short a period to learn in.

But that aside, my point was, it was pretty hard finding time to spend with the parents as I had 8 hour shifts almost everyday. Either it was in the morning or it was in the evening, which would prolly just shorten our time if I go out with them. I was grumbling of course, but I guess I could make use of the self-scheduled "FREE" day to go hanging out with them.

The parents stayed in University Tower just opposite the Trauma Centre this time around, overlooking the hospital. It was only until sis told me one really funny thing that mum did when I found out Mum is a very funny person indeed. I mean not that I wanna laugh at her, I just thought what she did was pretty cheeky.

So what she did was, she counted out loud how many ambulance there were whenever she was at home and I was on call. And if there were any ambulance at all, she'd wonder if I was busy handling them casualties.

Oh my, I just couldn't help laughing when sis revealed that piece of unknown information.

LOL.
