On Loving My Scrubs

I guess I came over to tell you how proud of you I am. Not because you did the best you could for those patients, but after 20 years of being a doctor, one thing goes badly you still take it this hard. I gotta tell you, that's the kind of doctor I wanna be. - Dr. Dorian

I'm not as big a fan of Scrubs as I am of Grey's Anatomy or House. But I guess I am more of an Internal Medicine guy than of a Surgery guy. However, that is just what I think I am at the moment, what the future holds, I still don't know.

I started watching Scrubs despite it's a failed comedy as compared to Friends because I can somewhat relate myself to the freshly graduated doctors in the series. Or maybe how they moved on as the young doctors grew over each seasons.

How they feared their consultants, how the consultants were so ever fierce looking, how the bunch of newly graduated doctors working together... Stuff like that.

But most often than not, I guess I failed to appreciate much of the hidden lines in the series. No doubt, there are a few that really brought tears to the touched heart and what not. And coming across the 2 videos on youtube featuring the video maker's top 6 endings in the movie brought back the interest to re-run the series again.

Because watching it for the second time seems appropriate in reminding me to look into the little things that make up what we call life.

... that there are more to life than anything else when there's a new life coming.

... that there are nothing more rewarding than to see the one you love stand up and move on.

... that there are nothing to be afraid of despite all the predicaments because no matter what happens, you will still have someone by your side.

... that there always will be even when you think you don't.

... and finally, not to ever give up.

"The second you start blaming yourself for people's death, there's no coming back."

i contnue from Manglish's comment : the trick is not to take ourselves or our life too seriously. stand back n look at it as an independent observer. look at the whole global picture n where we stand
