When I was young, I dreamt about growing up into something else other than a doctor. Something totally unrelated to medicine even. But just how all the Chinese are, my mum and dad stopped my imagination and cut short every other things and made me focus only on doing medicine. They say it's very dangerous, and they quote all sorts of examples of plane crashes and scared the hell out of me. And so, I stopped dreaming of flying.
And I wonder, what has come to my dream of becoming a pilot? How would life be like now?
And how come they never knew, doctors too get all sort of diseases from the hospital.

hehehe... u r alwayz grounded if you being a doctor... blek!
hey buddy, reality always kinda cruel... i used to have my own dream, but was forced the reality life...
at least becoming a doctor is much more cooler than many of us...right? think positively like wat ant always told us :) be happy !!!
when someone is pursuing something, they will give 100 good reasons to support, and another 1000 bad reasons to the other alternatives..
You sure going to like it.. But doctor also a good job.. :D
Kuching airport right? Look familiar..
I alwiz tell peeps that the risk of being hit when crossing the road is even greater. Perhaps the parents would then lockup their children at home.
Every job has it's different novelty I guess. While piloting takes you to the high sky ferrying thousands of ppl every year, a doctor save lives and help thousands. Both are great jobs, whichever path you choose.
Passion and the love of the job is different of course.
Different paths lead to different lifestyle I suppose. When I was young my dad wld insist I study hard and take over his bizness someday (even until today). I snapped and did Design. Bad choice. Becos I am poor to the core today. But I love the job, passion keeps me going... but my wallet is still disappointing...
its never too late to do anything.. maybe u can do ur doctor thing now.. once u had enough with it... maybe can switch line.. or maybe u will love the doctor's job so much after a few years.. who knows?
just find a way to enjoy whatever we are doing la.. :))
Sing this song (by R. Kelly)
I used to think that I could not go on
And life was nothing but an awful song
But now I know the meaning of true love
I'm leaning on the everlasting arms
If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
See I was on the verge of breaking down
Sometimes silence can seem so loud
There are miracles in life I must achieve
But first I know it starts inside of me, oh
If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it.
i understand exactly what you mean, i went thru the same thing, but since you are here, finish the course and keep your options open like i did :)
Being a pilot has its own share of stresses, trust me :) I've known a couple. Don't give up on medicine as yet! It's a long long road still!
aiya my brother is a pilot but my dad calls him a high class taxi driver k... and my brother in law is a mechanic and my dad calls him a car doctor... sometimes your profession is not about your dream, it's about how good you are at it. and dude, honestly if you feel so troubled with your course now regardless whatever the issue is, perhaps it's time to take a different road... i can't imagine when you finally work for real and a patient died on you... *touch wood la* but this things happen and could happen, it's LIFE... no road is perfect. and the grass is always greener the other side. do what you are good at because then it's easy to get the money, and look forward to a smile to build your dream and fantasy with it.
