On Seeing More Stones

See, I had this lady patient who first came in because she was yellow. Grossly jaundiced that was. Her eyes as yellow as the catwoman and her entire body was, plainly put, yellow. She was admitted to the ward back then because of pain in the abdomen as well. Other than that, due to some clear pathology of obstruction, her urine colour is as brown as teh-tarik and her stool was white. Typical obstructive jaundice case, I'd say.

On further 'interogation', we found out that she was actually diagnosed with stone disease a year ago. She was admitted to the hospital 2 times since then but no operation was done despite being scheduled. This time round, ultrasound revealed that a stone had dislodged into the common bile duct and causes all the symptoms to which she present. So subsequently, she was scheduled for some pre-operative procedures to relieve the stone obstruction. And she was discharged with another appointment for the gall bladder removal surgery 3 weeks later.

3 weeks later when we saw her again, she was already in post-operative condition. And she showed us her stone.

Ta-daaah!

Very impressive! Much more and bigger than the kidney stone wasn't it? :P

Now that she had to go back without her gallbladder, poor lady won't be able to eat large portion of fatty meal. Meaning... No KFC. LMAO. But seriously, she might need to expect chronic diarrhoea in the future...

It's terrible not having gall bladder. I know someone without it and her diet's all upside down. Kesian.
