Man down! Man down!
I knew it that the car would be gone when I came back from Melaka with some of the friends that Saturday. When I wanted to start it on Sunday, it went puffing and coughing and nothing came up. Light's gone. Alarm gone. Battery. Again.
While Anton failed to find any mechanics on that weekend, I called up the shop that had the battery repaird the next day. Got them to come over and told them that I've been having the same problem ever since I had the battery replaced. The mechanic said it might be the engine problem and all, but I insisted that nothing was wrong, and even told him that the mechanic who jump-started it in KL a few weeks back said it might be the battery as the engine was still in good shape.
So in the end he drove it back nonetheless. Demanded that he had a check and find out what was really wrong with the car.
That afternoon, the car was sent back in good shape. Turned out that it was due to all my lack of care. *sobs* My lousy fault...
The door sensors at the back doors were gone. The door sensor at the passanger seat was out of place. Therefore, the sensor indicator at the dashboard kept on flashing, throughout the night, throughout the day, wearing the battery off its power.
I totally have no idea when the door sensor at the back seat was gone. In fact, before the acident, there wasn't any problem with the indicator, although sometimes colleagues who sat in my car was told that they didn't close their door tight enough, but the indicator never really flashed back then.
Until there was one day when I was heading to Puchong on Kesas Highway that a stone or something that I failed to avoid, flung up after being ran through and indent the bottom of the door of the passanger seat in front. My heart leaped out that afternoon. But since then, I did notice that the indentation caused the sensor to be out of place. And I knew that the indicator flashed all the time because of that door.
And it was also from that incident that I can't use my remote. Yet I never bothered to get the indentation fixed.
So when the mechanic told me it was because of all the ongoing use of battery, my doubts were finally cleared! Hallelujah!
Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, the advantages of dry batteries redeemed themselves again. Maybe you should get your car checked thoroughly if your experienced the same frustration, a.k.a. car failed to start up every another day. *looking at TZ*
