On the Goals of Life

We question all the time, what are our purpose in life.

I have mine. Little ones. And the ultimate. I guess I see a possibility of me setting out the sail in achieving one of the little ones at the moment. It might drag over the next few years, it might just end up being on the 'failed' pile. But I guess, why stop at just having the idea when I have the capability of starting it? It might not turned out as how I imagined it to be, but at least I guess I attempted.

"I'm thinking of asking Shirley out." I broke the silence.

"Are you doing it for yourself or you're just doing it because you know she's in love with you?" I looked into Ian's eyes. I've always thought of him as a very close friend, that was why I confided in him when Cherry told me that Shirley likes me. I didn't know what to do, and I wasn't ready.

As much as I wanted to stay single for the time being, I didn't want to waste the opportunity. I wanted to settle down with a girlfriend as well. Mum's letter a few months ago was left in the drawer in the study. "My son, you're a man, don't doubt your sexuality. Please... For my sake... I beg you..."

I've always thought of writing as a form of expression. This blog alone is the proof. Though looking back, more than half of the writings are just plain rubbish. But it's going to be different this time. Seemingly real life drama, this is going to reach out to the minority. It is aimed to reach for them anyways.
