On Gastronomical Prawn Meal

We were already planning for a night out together since last week before the exam. Us from the group 2A members, who spent the last 8 weeks covering the medical ward in the hospital. Initial suggestion was to the bar and get drunk. But soon the plans changed... And towards the end, 1 of the girls fled for hometown right after the exam, while 2 more needed to prepare for the last tutorial presentation on Thursday. So we ended up having steamboat in Yuen Sunway. Again.

We got in and chose for the 1st floor, as we always did. And on we went grabing for raw stuff, cooking them and laughing our guts out over dinner. The one thing that never failed to happen in the steamboat place was the barbequed-chicken. Every 10 minutes the chickens are out, it'll be gone in one minute. Customer to the place have known about it, and people are fighting for them chicken every time. It's funny I think. They aren't really all that great anyways, but I suppose it's good to fill in the gaps while we wait for our steamboat to cook.

However, that night when the 6 of us were there, we picked up a new skill on eating out in steamboat shop. Especially when it's of a free-flow like that of Yuen.

Since we were paying 20 bucks per head, we were counting on what we ate to make sure we ate enough to worth the amount we paid. Stupid as it may sound, but that was our target. One of them went for ice cream from the start. The Angel gave up from the start, admitting her share would never worth 20 bucks since she doesn't eat much. JH and KW didn't say anything, but everyone were mocking on the Klate Gurl for being allergic to prawns.

Funny as it seemed, me and ex-surgery guy KS were eating prawns like mad. Plates after plates of fresh prawns were brought to the table. 5 minutes in the pot and they're ready for the tummy. We took effort peeling off the shells and shared it amongst the table, and we pledged to make a mountain of prawn heads when we were done. For prawns was what could make up for the money we paid for. That was why everyone mocked the Klate Girl for not being able to eat them prawns.

And we gave her the idea of eating 3kgs of mushrooms to make up the sum of 1kg of prawns we're taking. Like erm, well, that 3kgs of mushrooms, plus maybe another 5 kgs of veges, we still didn't think she'd eat stuff worth of 20 bucks. And she'd be all distended if she did. LOL

We had our dinner for a period of 2.5 hours in the end. The waiters were eyeing on our table for the amount of prawns we ate. JH were so worried that they were actually taking notes on the amount of prawns we were consuming that we'd be charged extra for it.

We had so much prawns that JH were saying it's really not good for us. We could suffer from cholesterol toxicity by the end of our meal. And I do really wonder if there's such a condition called acute hypercholesterol shock... Because we had this much of peeled prawns. There were more.

It was a great dining. Everyone claimed to have food-overload instead of fluid overload when we walked out of the restaurant, wondering those who'd be having their short cases physical examination on Thursday and Friday would be having one of us as their test subject in the hospital. In case we might actually come down with acute diarrhoea attack. In a sense that they're mocking the ones who peeled the prawns. As in. Yes yours sincerely.

We went over to Cineleisure for a midnight movie and came back to the hostel at 2 in the morning, still complaining of slight stomach distension...

JH swore she'd NEVER eat as much in the future. LMAO.
